Terms of Use

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use apply to all bookings and stays at The Bank, located in West Kirby. By confirming a reservation and occupying the property, guests agree to comply with the terms set out below.

These terms are designed to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all guests and to protect the property.


2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be made by a guest aged 25 years or over.
  • A valid form of identification may be required prior to check-in.
  • Full payment or a deposit (as specified at time of booking) must be received to secure the reservation.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any booking where payment is not received within the agreed timeframe.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required prior to arrival. This deposit covers:

  • Damage to the property or its contents
  • Excessive cleaning
  • Loss of keys or security devices
  • Breach of these Terms of Use

The deposit will be returned following inspection of the property, subject to any necessary deductions.


4. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in and check-out times will be confirmed prior to arrival.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and may incur an additional charge.
  • Guests must vacate the property by the agreed departure time to avoid additional fees.

5. Use of Property

The property is provided for short-term residential accommodation only.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Parties or events without prior written approval
  • Excessive noise or behaviour causing disturbance
  • Smoking anywhere inside the property
  • Illegal activities of any kind

We reserve the right to terminate a stay immediately without refund if these terms are breached.


6. Occupancy

  • The number of guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy stated at the time of booking.
  • Subletting is strictly prohibited.
  • Only named guests are permitted to stay overnight.

7. Damage & Maintenance

Guests are responsible for keeping the property and its contents in good condition during their stay.

Any damage, breakage or maintenance issue must be reported immediately. Failure to report damage may result in additional charges.


8. Concierge Services

Where concierge services are provided, these are arranged on behalf of the guest and may be delivered by third-party providers.

We accept no liability for:

  • Changes, cancellations or availability of third-party services
  • Loss or injury arising from external activities or providers

All third-party bookings may be subject to separate terms and conditions.


9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.
  • Guests use the property and its facilities at their own risk.
  • Liability for any claim shall be limited to the amount paid for the stay.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.


10. Cancellations

Cancellation policies will be outlined at the time of booking. Refund eligibility depends on the notice period provided and the rate selected.


11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, government restrictions, utility failure or other unforeseen circumstances.


12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.


13. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms of Use at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to your stay.
